Coolin', All Summer '18

There are a lot of perks to living in Los Angeles. Having A/C in your apartment is not necessarily one of those. Memphis isn't exactly the coolest either. Sometimes it's just too hot to turn on the stove. We decided to keep it cool, simple and fresh this month by creating some salads that are hearty, nutritious and easy. 


This summer salad is simple, yet the perfect blend of sweet and savory! 

Summer Berry & Veggie Bowl

Ingredients:

  • Baby Arugula

  • Butternut Squash Noodles

  • 365 Value Spelt, Lentil & Long Grain Wild Rice (microwaveable)

  • NatureSource Dried Cranberry & Toasted Almond Salad Topper

  • Fresh Blueberries

  • Tessemae's Organic Honey Poppyseed Dressing

Finesse Fact: Arugula is is packed with Vitamin K which can be essential for bone health.

Curried Couscous Chickpea Salad

Ingredients: 

  • Garbanzo Beans
  • Cooked Couscous 
  • Diced Onions (Saute)
  • Golden Raisins
  • Lime Juice
  • Curry Dressing ( Apple Cider Vinegar, Maple Syrup, and Spices: Ground Cumin, Sea Salt, Curry Spice Blend (Turmeric, Mustard Seed, Paprika) 

 

Finesse Fact: Garbanzo Beans are high in fiber keeping you satisfied longer and turmeric is our favorite anti-inflammatory spice!

This refreshing fruit salad is perfect when showing off that body at the Beach!

Summertime Fine Fruit Salad

Ingredients:

  • Strawberries

  • Blackberries
  • Mangoes
  • Pineapples
  • Nectarines 
  • Rambutan 

Finesse Fact: If you've never tried a Rambutan, you don't know what you are missing! This tropical Asian fruit's exterior is covered with red "hairs" that is easy to peel. When you do, you'll find a fleshy, translucent,  sweet-flavored fruit that is very reminiscent of a pear or grapes. It's a great addition to this summer salad!
