"The scale is fake." I say this all the time.. Meaning that the scale isn't the best way to measure your progress because it doesn't measure or consider your body composition. I usually get clients to understand this when I tell them how much I weigh. Because I'm "dense" aka muscular, I weigh more than they expect. It helps them realize that the number on the scale doesn't tell the whole story.”

“Sweating it out, challenging yourself, friendly competitions and straight up the vulnerable nature sometimes of fitness allows cross-cultural community building across all genders, races, ethnicity, economic statuses etc. Although it's indirect, I feel group fitness truly breaks down barriers of race, gender, political, ethnicity, stereotypes and hatred...even if for the moment when trying to be the first team to finish 300 push-ups! It's about understanding, connection and education through everyday life activities.”

“I want to be a good example for my nieces and nephew, as well as help my parents, to stay active as they get older. I also like to motivate other by doing. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my friends complete their first 5K, 10K, half marathon and even their first marathon – something they thought they could never do.”

“If you currently feel stuck, like you’re just going through the motions, or feel like you aren’t maximizing yourself to reach your full potential, then GET OUT OF YOUR OWN HEAD and actually take steps in the direction that you are wanting to go. You will never know if that business, relationship, or whatever it may be will work out if you don’t go for it.”

Give this world good energy.” It’s not always easy. I’m human, but it’s been written on the lock screen on my phone for a few months now so I get a little reminder whenever I look at it! That’s one of the tips I picked up when I was researching for my Yoga and Visualization workshops and it has helped.”
